Scuderia Ferrari is the oldest and most successful team in Formula 1: it has raced since the first season in 1950 and won 16 constructors' and 15 drivers' titles. In 2026 it fields Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, and Puma makes the clothing for both the team and its fans. This guide covers the history in brief, the current season, Ferrari at Le Mans and tips on which merchandise and models to choose.

A short history: from Ascari to Schumacher

Enzo Ferrari founded the Scuderia in 1929 as a racing team; it only began building its own cars later. Its first world championship Grand Prix win came at Silverstone in 1951, where José Froilán González took victory. A year later Alberto Ascari won Ferrari's first drivers' world title.

Nine drivers have won the drivers' title with Ferrari:

  • Alberto Ascari (1952, 1953), Juan Manuel Fangio (1956), Mike Hawthorn (1958), Phil Hill (1961), John Surtees (1964)
  • Niki Lauda (1975, 1977) and Jody Scheckter (1979)
  • Michael Schumacher (2000–2004) – five titles in a row, the team's most successful era
  • Kimi Räikkönen (2007) – so far Ferrari's last drivers' title

Ferrari last won the constructors' championship in 2008 (list of titles). The team's fans, known as the tifosi, have therefore been waiting more than 15 years for another title.

The 2026 season: Leclerc and Hamilton

Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion, moved to Ferrari from Mercedes ahead of the 2025 season. Charles Leclerc has driven for Ferrari since 2019, and in 2026 the team announced an extension of his contract "for the coming seasons" without giving its length (PlanetF1).

  • Wins in 2026: Hamilton won the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix on 14 June, his first Grand Prix win in red. Leclerc won the British Grand Prix on 5 July (results on Formula1.com).
  • Standings: Mercedes dominate the season. After 17 of 23 races Hamilton was third in the drivers' standings and Leclerc fifth, close behind (current standings).
  • 2027: team principal Frédéric Vasseur confirmed on 3 July 2026 that Hamilton will drive for Ferrari in 2027 too (RacingNews365), so the Leclerc–Hamilton pairing stays.

Ferrari at Le Mans: the 499P and three wins in a row

Ferrari returned to the top class of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2023 with the 499P hypercar and succeeded straight away:

Year Le Mans 24 Hours result Crew
2023 win, car #51 Pier Guidi, Calado, Giovinazzi
2024 win, car #50 Fuoco, Molina, Nielsen
2025 win, car #83 (AF Corse, yellow) Kubica, Ye, Hanson
2026 won by Toyota #7, best Ferrari #51 fifth –

In 2025 Ferrari also won both the manufacturers' and drivers' titles in the WEC, the latter taken by the #51 crew (Ferrari). Sources: Le Mans 2024, Le Mans 2025, Le Mans 2026 results. Models of the cars are in the Le Mans car models collection.

Ferrari merchandise: team or fan edition

Ferrari's clothing is made by Puma. You will come across three basic types:

  • Team edition (Puma Replica): T-shirts, polo shirts, hoodies and jackets like those the team wears in the current season, with sponsor logos (HP, Shell, IBM, UniCredit and others). For the Replica polo, Puma states that it matches the team's kit for the 2026 season (puma.com).
  • DRIVERS edition: the team T-shirt in the version worn by the drivers themselves. It has a looser fit.
  • Fan and lifestyle editions: a simpler design – the Ferrari shield, a driver's number and signature, without most sponsors. The better choice for everyday wear.

Puma also releases special editions for individual races – in 2026, for example, a Chinese Grand Prix collection in dark blue with flames (Puma) or a team cap for Monza. The full range is in the Scuderia Ferrari F1 Team, Ferrari T-shirts and polo shirts, Ferrari hoodies, jackets and sweaters and Ferrari caps and beanies collections.

Hamilton or Leclerc?

Driver merchandise is among the most sought after. The caps and T-shirts of both drivers share the same cut in the team and fan editions; they differ in the number, signature and driver logo:

Puma makes the driver caps in classic and mesh versions and in children's sizes. If you don't know which driver the recipient supports, a team cap or T-shirt without a driver name is the safer choice.

Ferrari models: SF-25 and 499P

Formula 1: Bburago SF-25

The SF-25 is Ferrari's car from the 2025 season, Hamilton's first with the team. Bburago offers it with both drivers' numbers:

  • 1:43 (about 10 cm long): the standard version in a window box, including the special livery for the 2025 Italian Grand Prix at Monza (Leclerc and Hamilton).
  • 1:43 Signature: a range for more demanding collectors, with the driver's helmet in the cockpit, a base and clear packaging. Bburago describes the Signature range as having a higher level of detail (bburago.com).
  • 1:18: larger models of Leclerc's SF-25, for example in the Miami or Monza livery.

For earlier seasons you will also find the SF-23 and SF-24 as well as more detailed LookSmart models. Compare scales in the Formula 1 models collection.

Le Mans: Ferrari 499P

Bburago makes the 499P in the versions of all three Le Mans winners: #51 from 2023, #50 from 2024 (in 1:43, 1:24 and 1:18; the 1:18 model has a base marking the win) and the yellow #83 AF Corse. LookSmart offers more detailed models.

Puma Ferrari clothing sizes

  • Men's and unisex sizes: Puma's European size chart converts sizes to German numbering: S = 44–46, M = 48–50, L = 52–54, XL = 56–58, XXL = 60–62.
  • Fit: according to Puma, the Ferrari replica T-shirt has a regular fit and the 186 cm model wears size M (puma.com). The DRIVERS edition is looser; we recommend one size smaller.
  • Women: for unisex models Puma recommends your usual size for a relaxed fit, or one size smaller for a regular fit. Women's cuts are in the Ferrari women's collection.
  • Children: size by height in cm – 128 (7–8 years), 140 (9–10 years), 152 (11–12 years), 164 (13–14 years).
  • Caps: team and fan caps are adjustable, in adult and children's sizes.

Frequently asked questions

How many F1 world titles does Ferrari have?

Ferrari has 16 constructors' titles (most recently 2008) and 15 drivers' titles (most recently Kimi Räikkönen in 2007). It is the most successful team in F1 history.

Will Lewis Hamilton drive for Ferrari in 2027?

Yes. Team principal Frédéric Vasseur confirmed in July 2026 that Hamilton will drive for Ferrari in the 2027 season too. Charles Leclerc extended his contract in 2026 for the coming seasons.

What is the difference between Ferrari's team and fan editions by Puma?

Which size of Puma Ferrari clothing should I choose?

Puma states the fit for each product. Team T-shirts have a regular fit; the DRIVERS edition is looser and we recommend one size smaller. For unisex models, Puma suggests women choose their usual size for a relaxed fit or one size smaller for a regular fit. Caps are adjustable.
